MovieBird® 45 Technocrane
Description
The MB45 is a versatile telescopic crane suitable for any film set or TV studio as this crane has the same dolly ‘footprint’ as the smaller MB30 crane. It is universal to work with and depending on the type and weight of camera package carried it is possible to modify the length of the arm from 35ft to 45ft reach in a matter of minutes without increasing its fully retracted length. It can be carried in either a 10 ton truck or a double axle trailer with upgraded axles. This crane replaced the need for a 30ft techno or a 50ft techno because it can be rented as a 35ft or a 45ft making it the work horse for most rental houses around the world.

The MB 45 includes:
High end digital electronics that enable the operator to program the actual range of movement. Nine digitally controlled speed settings with additional smooth logarithmic movement fades. Leveling system controlled by digital laser encoders ensures that the remote head is at the true horizontal position regardless of the speed or complexity of the movement.
A highly specialized rail system ensures totally smooth telescopic movements.
Unique service level agreements (SLA) including same day exchange of the crane in a very demanding production environment.
MovieBird is fully compatible with all models of Remote Heads and all camera types from DSLR to IMAX. For special effects you can even mount moving light sources on it.
MovieBird is completely modular. In the unlikely event of a problem, whatever and whenever, down-time is kept to an absolute minimum.
